Purpose and scope
ChainRider is built to prevent malicious blockchain interactions. We do not custody funds, run ads, or monetize your data. This policy applies to the ChainRider mobile and desktop applications and any supporting services used to score a transaction you initiate.
-
Data we process
We process only the information required to evaluate your requested action:
- Wallet and contract metadata: Public wallet addresses, contract addresses, function signatures, token identifiers, and decoded transaction parameters you choose to inspect.
- Simulation outputs: Human-readable previews of token movements, approvals, and risk scores derived from the transaction you submit.
- Threat intelligence: Reputation lookups for domains, RPC endpoints, or addresses to identify known scam campaigns.
- Support diagnostics (optional): If you send logs to Vyrnox for troubleshooting, they may include technical error traces; these are used only to resolve your request.
We do not collect private keys, seed phrases, passwords, or message contents from your other apps.
-
On-device processing and storage
Transaction decoding, simulations, clipboard checks, and signature fingerprinting occur locally on your device. Temporary caches (such as decoded ABI data or recent recipient lookups) remain on-device and are cleared automatically or when you wipe app data. We do not create remote backups of your alerts or history.
-
Permissions and connectivity
ChainRider may request limited access to deliver core protections:
- Network access: To query blockchain RPC nodes, token metadata, and threat intelligence feeds needed to score a transaction.
- Clipboard monitoring (optional): To detect address swaps or malicious memos when you copy/paste recipients. This check runs on-device and can be disabled.
- Camera (optional): To scan QR codes for wallet addresses or transaction payloads without typing them manually.
- Notifications (optional): To alert you about risky requests in real time.
Permissions are used only for the stated purpose and can be revoked in your system settings; some features may not function without them.
-
Third-party services
To resolve chain data, ChainRider may contact RPC providers, block explorers, price or token metadata services, and curated threat feeds. These services see only the technical queries necessary to complete your request (for example, a contract address or transaction hash). We do not send analytics, advertising identifiers, or behavioral profiles to any third party.
-
Data retention and deletion
On-device caches and recent history are retained only as long as needed to complete your analysis or until you clear them. Support logs you voluntarily share are deleted once the ticket is resolved unless longer retention is required by law. We do not keep copies of your wallet interactions after you remove the app or wipe local data.
-
Security practices
We design ChainRider to minimize trust: simulations run locally, communication with RPC or threat feeds uses encrypted channels, and private keys never leave your wallet provider. We monitor for malicious infrastructure and rotate endpoints when threats are detected.
-
Your choices and rights
You can disable clipboard checks, QR scanning, or notifications at any time. If you contact Vyrnox to delete support materials you shared, we will remove them from our systems unless retention is legally required. Because we avoid collecting personal data, most data subject rights requests do not apply.
-
Children's privacy
ChainRider is intended for adults who manage digital assets and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect information from children.
-
Changes and contact
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect product changes or legal requirements. Updates will be posted at this URL with the revised date above. Questions? Contact support@vyrnox.com.
By using ChainRider, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to this Privacy Policy.
