Guiding principles
Fiux minimizes trust in intermediaries while maximizing user control.
- No sign-up identity: Fiux creates a locally stored cryptographic identity on your device; we never collect or host phone numbers, email addresses, or social IDs.
- No cloud archives: Messages, call records, and attachments remain encrypted on participant devices. Fiux does not operate a message-storage cloud.
- User-controlled discovery: Contact IDs are exchanged by mutual consent. Without a shared handshake, nobody—including Vyrnox—can enumerate or contact Fiux users.
-
Data we collect
Fiux is intentionally designed to avoid collecting personal data. Only information required to maintain connectivity is exchanged:
- Contact IDs and keys: Shared directly between peers to establish secure sessions. These identifiers remain on user devices.
- Connection metadata: Our signaling and TURN services see temporary session identifiers (for example, IP addresses and device networking details) needed to bootstrap peer-to-peer links. We do not log or profile this data beyond operating the service and preventing abuse.
- Crash or diagnostic reports (optional): If you submit logs to Vyrnox for troubleshooting, we use them solely to diagnose the issue and then discard them.
Fiux does not collect contact lists, message contents, location data, or persistent device identifiers.
-
On-device storage
Messages, attachments, and cryptographic keys are encrypted and stored locally on your device’s protected storage. Attachment sandboxing keeps files inside Fiux unless you explicitly export them. Removing the app or using the built-in wipe features deletes local data from that device.
-
Device permissions
Fiux may request access to specific capabilities so features work as intended:
- Camera: Scan contact QR codes or participate in video calls.
- Microphone: Enable voice and video communication.
- Storage: Read or write encrypted attachments you choose to send or save.
Permissions are used solely for the stated feature. You can revoke them at any time in your system settings, though functionality may be limited.
-
Third-party services
Fiux may use infrastructure providers such as TURN servers to deliver real-time connectivity. These services are limited to session bootstrapping and do not see decrypted content. We choose providers that meet industry security standards and support self-hosting for organizations requiring full control.
-
Data retention and deletion
Because communications stay on user devices, you control deletion. Vyrnox does not keep backup copies. Temporary session data on our signaling infrastructure is purged automatically once connections close unless longer retention is required to comply with law or prevent abuse.
-
Children’s privacy
Fiux is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required by local law). If you believe a child has provided personal information to Vyrnox, contact us so we can remove it.
-
International transfers
Service infrastructure may reside in multiple regions. By using Fiux, you consent to the transfer and processing of technical connection data where we or our providers operate. Encryption keys and message content remain on user devices.
-
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect product changes, legal requirements, or security improvements. Updated versions will appear at this URL with the revision date shown at the top. Continued use of Fiux after changes become effective constitutes acceptance.
